Not long ago I acquired a bottle that had been a store display sample. I wanted it for a dramatic etching job of some kind. Shortly after I got it to the Studio that day, I noticed a hairline crack on top of and on the side of the thick, heavy wax seal. No wine came out, the seal is just cracked. The bottle should be opened and consumed and the bottle should not be shipped. The winery replaced the bottle so my own project will be on the new one.
Except for the cracks in the seal, the 9 liter bottle is in perfect shape with lots of room on front and back to etch logos, artwork, Calligraphy…whatever someone would want. With the etching/engraving being paid for, the bottle is at NO COST. Just for reference, it is the same volume as 12 regular bottles of wine in ONE big bottle. Very heavy. Most impressive as a promotion piece or an auction item or a fund-raising prize.
The bottle has a retail value of over $500. Again, the bottle is free to the right individual or organization who can use it. Call me for details if you have an interest or know someone who would.
Think big birthday party. Silent auction. Long weekend with 6 close friends. The closing of the big real estate deal. Grandma finishing the Seniors marathon. The last of your 5 kids graduating from college. Drink the wine, save the bottle and the memories. I’m ready when you are.
One more, ‘just for reference’….below are photos of a smaller, 6 liter bottle in a different format that was deep-etched with my Calligraphy in the pen-style of Chancery Cursive. This was for a big wedding. Made a great presentation….and this one would too.
Let me know before I throw a party myself!
Ken, Great work! it’s so clean and sharp with a wonderful style.
