In the planning stages of the most unusual evening I will have ever encountered with my work. The gentleman called me recently, recalling a big wine event several years ago where I personalized some wine glasses for him and his family. He asked me for suggestions to enhance an evening for 20-25 special customers at the restaurant’s new location. About all I know at the moment; will have more to share in a month or so.
When I arrived at the restaurant for a meeting a few days ago, the eleven dollar bottle of Riesling I sent to him was prominently displayed in the midst of ultra-expensive wines in the locked glass room in the center of the dining area. He loved the special message and attention given to his request for a visit.
He pointed out one bottle in the rack near where he’s standing. It’s a rare Napa Valley red, priced at $5500. Hmmm. Let’s see. With tax added for that bottle, holding 23.3 ounces of wine, that’s $255.52 per ounce, or right at $127. per half-ounce sip!
If all goes as tentatively planned, I’ll be on-site during the dinner to engrave bottles and glasses for the special guests. I’ll be sipping water from a fancy glass.

Agree with B.J. Just absolutely incredible and beautiful work. I have like 30 emails waiting to be opened, and Ken’s was the first one I opened because I always want to see his work. It inspires me.
