This has kept a lot of shoppers from walking up, saying “What are you doing?”
Cool little camera and a small VIZIO television to show live action. I’ve had both these pieces of equipment for some time, for different things, and just the other day the ‘light’ went on in my head to put them together. Worked great…and the words are not upside down, as when customers watch me without it.
I highly recommend it as a part of your work for you engravers out in the public. I’ve had the setup at two recent Market Street events, with more people stopping to watch the action. Many people hesitate to come up to watch me work, but this is making a difference. Of course my spelling errors are then out there for visitors to see…right side up!
My next event is at MARKET STREET in Plano, Texas, on April 17th.
My next Engraving Workshop is sometime in May or June…..still TBA.
Cheers!
Ken
Great idea!!! Always thinking, always on top of it!
What a great way to draw a crowd, but not have them hovering over your shoulders!
Is that a HoverCam Ultra 8 that you are using? If it is, even more options to take a quick picture, or even capture video to a USB hard drive or SD card. With built in lighting you don’t have to bring the other light stand, very efficient. I like the small preview screen on the bottom so you can see that you have the bottle “in frame” without the need to see the TV.
A tip for the others, TVs of these sizes can be hard to find these days (at least around here), however a lot of computer monitors have HDMI ports these days (some still have VGA) so you could connect this to a computer monitor and pay less $$. Assuming you don’t need sound going through it.
Thanks for sharing Ken!
