Could be in a rock band. Maybe, rockabilly. Perhaps a solo act. (At least while he’s playing a tune.) He wanted to announce to his audience that love was in the air. Or the music. Tried to get him to let me make it read horizontally, to be read while he played. No deal.
Guessing he’s the ‘Sugar’ half the duo. Not sure if the metal apparatus in his mouth is a tune-enhancer and didn’t ask.
Did the engraving exactly as he requested and he paused for a photo opp as I requested.
Just never know who might be bringing what for an inscription. The next day he came to pick it up.
He said, “How much?”
I said, “Forty bucks.”
He said, “Got change for a fifty?”
I said, “No.”
He said, “No sweat, keep the change.”
That was music to my ears.
Twenty-five bucks a name for 4 minutes work. Sweet.
DEADLINE FOR THE SEPTEMBER ENGRAVING WORKSHOP IS END OF DAY TUESDAY, AUGUST 4. Still have 3 seats.
When the fist guitar or tuba or zither hits your door, you’ll be ready.
