Inside of 3 weeks, the rep of this Chilean wine presented me with two, five-liter bottles to be given as sales awards. Each holds 6.66 of the regular size 750 ml bottles.
The one on the left was to be presented later. Jon, in the photo with his, is in sales for a local distributor that supplies much of the wine for area stores.
This must be one great wine, and in the $20.+ range for a 750 ml normal size bottle, I see lots of them coming for engraving. These large format bottles are not usually found on the shelves but can be special-ordered when a customer needs one as a special award or gift.
Engraving details: I used a #6 round carbide and filled the engraving with Antique Gold Rub ‘N Buff.
If you’re in the area and want to peep in on one of my wine bottle engraving events, I’ll be at the Frisco, Texas, Market Street Store on July 13 from 11 am to 7 pm. Still have seats in the final three 2013 Seminars where you can learn this.
